Canada Day at the Golden Museum

Canada Day at the Golden Museum has been a beloved tradition for more than twenty years — the kind of celebration where neighbours wander in, kids race around the lawn, and the Station Stage fills the valley with music. It’s four hours of easygoing summer fun that starts at 11 a.m. and somehow always ends with everyone a little sun‑kissed, a little sugared‑up from cake, and very happy to have spent the day together.

Every year, the museum grounds come alive with live music on the Station Stage, old‑fashioned games that make kids laugh and parents nostalgic, and a wonderful mix of foods that reflect the many cultures that call Golden home. There’s cake (of course), plenty of space to sit and visit, and that unmistakable feeling of celebrating Canada in a way that’s rooted in community, history, and simple joy.
